Stacey Anthony Turner

Mr. Stacey Anthony Turner, age 51of Soperton passed away peacefully at Meadows Memorial Hospital on February 9, 2024.

Stacey was born in Baxley to the late Mr. Jimmy Dale Turner and Sharron Creamer. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-parents; Jimmy Dale Turner and Jajuan Turner, Sharon Creamer and Jimmy Creamer, maternal grandparents, Lebron and Helen Murphy, and paternal grandparents, Martin Turner and Lois Nell.

Stacey grew up in Surrency and lived most of his life in Hazlehurst. He loved his family and friends and loved Alabama Football. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. He worked for Ellington Transport for a long period but was recently working for Beasley Timber.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Bailey, siblings, Brad Turner, Shannon Creamer, Steve Creamer, Jeff Creamer, nieces and nephews, Chase Martin Turner, Gabbie Wasdin, Tristan Bailey, Hope Edge, Alvin Edge, God children, Harley and Hunter Taylor. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and 6 fur children also survive. 

Services for Mr. Turner will be held at Lumber City Baptist Church on February 13, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the church. Rev. Ashley Tyree will officiate.

Brad Turner, Marcus Harper, Kelly Murphy, Caleb Perry, Alvin Edge, and Stacey Hayes will serve as pallbearers.

Employees of Beasley Timber and Ellington Transport and Luke Pittman will serve as honorary pallbearers.
