SAM GRIFFIN

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for Bennie Samuel (Sam) Griffin, age 70, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018.  Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 02, 2018 in the Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church.   

Rev. Thomas Colter, Rev. Ricky Lilliott & Allen Griffin will officiate with burial in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Griffin was born in Bacon County.  He was the son of the late Arlie Griffin & Helen Dixon Griffin and was preceded in death by: Brothers: Billy Joe Griffin, Varon Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Daniel Griffin & a sister: Elizabeth Griffin. He was a former employee of Hazlehurst Mills and Walmart.

Survivors include: Wife: Mary Jeanette Griffin of Hazlehurst; Sons: Leon Blanton of Lumber City, Jason Griffin & Sidney Griffin both of Hazlehurst; Daughter: Kimberly Griffin of Rome; Sisters: Emily Toler & Arlene Griffin both of Hazlehurst; Brothers: Edward Griffin, Cecil Griffin & Randall Griffin all of Hazlehurst; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Miles Funeral Home 242 Uvalda Highway Hazlehurst, Georgia  31539.

Mr. Griffin will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
