Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the graveside service for Mrs. Montez Joyce Varnadoe Adams Wagner, age 82, of Lumber City, who passed away Friday, June 14, 2019. Graveside services were held at 5:00 pm Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 443 Fishing Creek Road, Lumber City, Georgia. Rev. Chuck Morgan officiated.

Mrs. Wagner was born in Lumber City, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Varnadoe & Ruth E. Owens Varnadoe and was the wife of the late Robert Wagner. Mrs. Wagner was a retired caretaker and was a former member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church and attended Dodge’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: Children: Murray K. Adams (Barbara McDonald) of Orion, MI, Sandi E. Lewis of Hazlehurst & William M. Adams of Lake Orion, MI; Special friend: Gilbert Powell of Lumber City; Grandchildren: Dusty Holland of Dawsonville & Emily Adams Jackson of Kathleen; Great-grandchildren: Destiny Danielle Holland, Jordan Watkins, Dallas Jackson, Dillon Jackson, Dustin Jackson & Deyton Jackson; Great-great-grandchildren: Leonel Escobar, Danny Keith Bowen & Swisser Bowen; Brother: Raymond P. Varnadoe of Lumber City.
