Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for James Edward Hayes, age 77, who passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at
his residents in Hazlehurst, Georgia.
James was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He was the son of Elve and Helen Johnson Hayes. He is preceded in death by his parents.
James was of the Baptist faith. He was a lifelong resident of Hazlehurst, Georgia. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yards and fishing.
Survivors include nephews: Martin (Gina) Rea; Jamie Rea of Hazlehurst; nieces: Shannon Rea and Samantha White; as well as several other great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Union Springs Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jinker Horton officiating.
