JONIE HUGHES Obituary

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the memorial service for Mr. Jonie Lee Hughes, age 87, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Friday, July 17, 2020. Services will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Hughes was born in Jeff Davis County. He was the son of the late Ivey W. Hughes & Martha M. Walls Hughes. He was preceded in death by: Son: Scott Howard Hughes; Brothers: James Hughes, Gene Hughes, Vernon Hughes, Larry Hughes, Howard Hughes & Wayne Hughes; Sister: Martha Jennell Dobbs. Mr. Hughes was retired from Roche Lab.

Survivors include: Wife: Elsie Craver Hughes of Hazlehurst; Children: Bobby L. Dawson (Linda) of Willacoochee, Kevin E. Dawson, Jimmy & Sameythia Dawson, & Tim Dawson all of Hazlehurst; Brother: Bill Hughes (Louise) of Dublin; Sister-in-law: Mae Hughes of Dublin; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
