Beulah (Lynn) Williams

Beulah Lynn Williams, 96, of Grovetown, GA entered her heavenly home on March 31, 2023.  Mrs. Williams was a gentle soul who was greatly loved by her large family and many friends. 

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Vernon Williams; a stillborn son; her parents, Hollis and Cynthia Lynn; her brothers, Jarmon Lynn (Jane) and Howard Lynn (Eloise); and her sisters, Amy Davenport (Dave) and Juanice “Mickey” Hesters (Eldred).

Survivors include daughter Lynnette Jackson, of Baxley, GA; son Larry Williams (Brenda Sutton Williams) of Martinez, GA; daughter Karen Floyd (David Floyd) of Warner Robbins, GA; daughter Patricia Silvers (David Silvers) of Baxley, GA; and daughter, Cindy Torres of Grovetown, GA. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; a sister, Camille Kimball of Graham, GA; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Williams, of North Augusta, SC.

Mrs. Williams, born January 7, 1927, was a native of Appling County, Georgia. She and her husband grew up on farms, and after they married, they also farmed until they moved to Columbia County, GA in 1994.  She was very much a partner in the farming business, as she cooked large meals daily, not only for her family, but for many farm workers as well.  While living in Appling County, Mrs. Williams also owned the Village Cake and Donut Shop in Hazlehurst.  She was known for her amazing cooking skills, her sense of humor, her mischievous nature, and her great love for her family.

A member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church in Evans, GA for 29 years, Mrs. Williams loved God and served Him faithfully.  She was a former member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, GA, where she and her family attended for over 50 years.

Funeral services will take place at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, GA on Monday, April 3rd.  A visitation will be held at 1:00 in the church sanctuary. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.  Mrs. Williams will be laid to rest at the Satilla church cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Douglas Jackson of Baxley, GA; Jason Brewer of Kathleen, GA; Stacy Brewer of Kathleen, GA; John David Floyd of Centerville, GA; Larry Dale Williams, Jr. of Martinez, GA; Brandan Graves of Grovetown, GA; Spencer Gray, and Josh Graves of Grovetown, GA.  The remaining grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Flowers can be sent to Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, GA.
