Betty Hand

Mrs. Betty Hand, age 58, of Hazlehurst, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hand was born January 9, 1962 in Rantoul, Illinois; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Carlton Edward Williams and Ruth Boyer Graham, father-in-law, Grady F. Hand and mother-in-law, Beatrice Hand. She was a homemaker that loved and cared deeply for her family. Her favorite pastime was being with her family. There are so many wonderful things that could be said about her, but room does not allow it.

She is survived by her husband, Lucian D. Hand, son, Timothy (Alexandria) Hand, two daughters, Rose (Tim) Hayes and Dawn (Lonnie) Bryant, two sisters, Eva (Billy) Hiers and Nadine Graham, two brothers, Robert Williams and David Williams, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Little Bennie Calhoun, James Herman Selph, Danny Wade Selph, London Dukes, Robert Earl Arnold, Gregory Bowling and Danny Hesters.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Hand family and Miles Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
