Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for Barbara Ann Buttrom, age 81, who passed away Sunday. November 27, 2022, at her home in Lumber City, GA.
Mrs. Buttrom was born August 11, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Hal Jerald Williams and Edith Gertrude Coleman Williams
and the wife of the late Billy Buttrom. She is also predeceased by a brother Gerald Williams, and three infant sons, Allen Steven Buttrom, Mark Randel Buttrom, and Keith Lewis Buttrom.
Mrs. Buttrom was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church in Telfair County. She was a beautician and had a beauty shop in Lumber City for 40 years. She was also a caregiver. She loved to cook, was a fine christian lady, and was such a sweet person. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her adopted son: Bo Howard of Lumber City, GA; sister: Patricia Lynn Mayfield(Joe) of Bryceville, Florida; nephews: Chris Mayfield(Sharon), Mark Mayfield, Greg Mayfield(Tahni), and Caleb Howard; great-niece: Violet Mayfield; and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dusty Allen will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
