ALLEN LUTHER LANE, JR.

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for Mr. Allen Luther Lane, Jr. age 80, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Friday, July 19, 2019.  Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Miles Funeral Home 242 Uvalda Highway, Hazlehurst, Georgia 31539.  Elder J. E. Griffis will officiate.   

Mr. Lane was born in Atkinson County.  He was the son of the late Allen Luther Lane, Sr. & Lelia Mae Guthrie Lane.  He was a retired maintenance supervisor from Continental Can and was a former fire chief at Bacon County Volunteer Fire Department, and a former Auxiliary Police Officer at the City of Alma.  Mr. Lane formerly attended the Graham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Daughters & Son-in-law: Janett & Carl Gobble of Hazlehurst, Sonya Louise Lane of Alma; Sister: Edith Lane Bowen of Yulee, Florida; Grandchildren: Anthony & Brandi Steedley, Kevin & Allison Steedley, Michael & Natasha Steedley all of Alma; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews also survive.

Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Miles Funeral Home 242 Uvalda Highway Hazlehurst, Georgia 31539.
