Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for Joe Larry Carver, age 67, of Alma, who passed away Wednesday, October 03, 2018.  Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 04, 2018 in Salem Holiness Baptist in Douglas with Rev. Joey Copeland, Rev. Hardy Crosby & Rev. John Carter officiating with burial at a later date.

Mr. Carver was born in Coffee County.  He was the son of the late Herschel Carver & Mary Nell Anderson Carver.  He was retired from Whitty Dairy.

Survivors include: Daughters & Son-in-laws: Wendy Ogden of Alma, Sonia Bush & Wally Poole of Hazlehurst, Jodie & Marty Vickers of Douglas: Sons & Daughters-n-law: John Carver & Frankie Faircloth of Baxley, Joe & Sheila Carver of Pearson; Sister: Carol Beth Smith of Douglas; Brother: Donald Carver of Douglas; Aunts: Elizabeth Porter & Dionne Miller both of Douglas; 13 Grandchildren & 4 Great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Miles Funeral Home PO Box 53 Hazlehurst, Ga.  31539 for the funeral expense.
